Add titles, descriptions, and links to images
You can add titles, descriptive text, and links to images. The way these are presented in your gallery depends on the theme you are using.
Adding or editing an image’s title
- Do one of the following:
- Hover over the thumbnail of the image you want to add a title to and click the Metadata button.
- Click the Metadata View button in the toolbar or choose View > Metadata.
- Enter the image title in the Title field.
Tip: You can use the image filename or metadata stored in the image as the title by selecting the image or a group of images and choosing Image > Import Item Settings > Import Title from Filename or Image > Import Item Settings > Import Title from Metadata.
Adding or editing an image’s description
- Do one of the following:
- Hover over the thumbnail of the image you want to add a description to and click the Metadata button.
- Click the Metadata View button in the toolbar or choose View > Metadata.
- Enter the image description in the Description field.
Tip: You can use the metadata stored in the image as the description by selecting an image or a group of images and choosing Image > Import Item Settings > Import Title from Metadata.
Adding or editing an image’s link
- Do one of the following:
- Hover over the thumbnail of the image you want to add a link to and click the Metadata button.
- Click the Metadata View button in the toolbar or choose View > Metadata.
- Enter the link in the Link field.
Some themes don’t support links. In this situation the link will be ignored but not removed from your gallery file.
Tip: Links cannot be followed in the Exhibeo preview. To see the links working, export your gallery to HTML and open the index.html file to see the gallery with working links.
